Graphic Design
The World of the Graphic Designer
Any Graphic Designer knows, being able to adapt to the client's
needs whilst keeping consistent high standards, is
essential in our current climate. I
create print ready design artwork to any size, for web, advertising
or published media. I use a mixture of vector and images to produce
the finished graphic, whilst adhering to the setup rules that
apply to each one.
There's nothing more satisfying than seeing your work reproduced in the printed form.
Print Ready Artwork
Aerosol Planet Tours and DVD posters
I was asked to create some 'Urban graffiti art' style posters and flyers for Aerosol Planet, to promote their DVD collection and the new Graffiti Tours website.
Below are some of the flyers and posters I have created for them.

CD Covers for small independent record label
I used to write and produce electronic music in the 90's. Here is a small selection of CD covers I created for the small label they were on.

Vector Design Artwork
Vector T-shirt Designs
Although I work mainly with photo editing software, vectors are also something I use frequently when designing artwork. It's ideal for colour layer positives for screen printing or for T-shirt designs and, more often than not, web design where the flat accurate colour of vectors can be used effectively.
Here are some T-shirt designs I made in the past for a small independent clothing company. I used vectors for all of the line work and blocking, then a small amount of airbrushing to add finishing touches.

Vector Designed Logos
Currently everyone wants to have an instantly recognisable personal identity logo.

I have designed for various companies and individuals.

Colour Correction and Image Retouching
Reworked photographs
As with all my artwork, at some point I need to colour correct parts of an image or whole images and stitch two or more pieces together seamlessly to make one. Along with retouching to 'cover up' blemishes and unwanted marks. This has to be one of the more satisfying parts of the process in getting the right result, if a little time consuming.
Some 'before' and 'after' examples are displayed here. Included are techniques used with image stitching and colour management, coupled with some intricate retouching for the finished image.
